BODYCLOCK is a queer & bipoc-centric weekly underground electronic dance party happening the first three THURSDAYS of every month @thepistonbar. Allies are encouraged to come through and be part of the community. Hang out at the front bar or dance it out in the back, we’ll be featuring some deep cuts from the city’s best local selectors.
🌀Our focus is to create a community-forward evening where people can connect and share their collective love for music and dance. We believe the dance floor is a political space, carrying on the legacy of the pioneering nightlife promoters, DJs, and producers who founded House and Techno. These cultures emerged because Black and queer communities needed safer spaces to connect and express themselves freely—away from judgment and violence—and to build a community that mirrored their lived realities. Bodyclock is committed to carrying this lineage forward.
⚡Our residents, @misskleio and Zola (@thoughtfulrevolutionsmusic), are long-standing members of Toronto’s nightlife community. Over the years, they have greatly contributed to the scene as volunteers, harm reduction team members, dancers, DJs, and promoters.
📣We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. We will not tolerate racism, fascism, zi0nism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or violence of any kind. Consent at our events must be explicitly asked for and given—don’t be a creep. Everyone should feel free to express themselves and be who they are at our events, without feeling the need to constantly be on guard.
